Roads Yet to Travel – My future awaits me – the pages are being filled day by day…

“I’ve been longing to travel lately; to just get away and experience something new, something I’ve never gotten the chance to do before.  Life is an open book, and there are so many pages in mine that have yet to be written…”  Felecia R. Weber, OntheWingofaDove.com

Roads Yet to Travel

I don’t want to go back,

I only want to move forward.

Let the past be the past;

It has already been lived.

My future awaits me,

The pages are being filled day by day.

I have many roads yet to travel,

Some are winding, some are straight.

There have been times when  my steps haven’t led me where I’ve wanted to go.

But I press on, for I am determined to reach my destination.

Each turn, each path that beckons me, I’ll test to prove whether it be true.

Know this, whatever happens between now an the end of my journey…

Will be the best it’s ever been.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

May the roads that you have yet to travel lead you to the fullness of life that you seek…and as you seek it, may you discover that your fullness comes from the Lord.

Peace and love,

Felecia

Why?

Why?

“Curiosity,” graphite pencil drawing by Felecia R. Weber 2005, OntheWingofaDove.com

Why?  Why am I living in this time and place?

“There are two great days in a person’s life – the day we are born and the day we discover why.”  William Barclay

Why?

Why do I say the things that I say/

Will they make a difference to others today?

Why am I living in this time and place?

Can I truly overcome the challenges that I face?

Why am I always searching, wanting to do more?

Will I have the courage to step through the next open door?

Why was I born, what is life’s purpose for me?

Will I ever discover who I am truly meant to be?

Life is full of questions isn’t it?   Granted, they are not always as heavy as the ones I asked in my poem above, but surely we’ve all asked similar ones from time to time.  Given the life changing events that I’ve experienced recently, I find myself asking “why?” quite frequently.  Sometimes the answers are revealed to me quickly and quite obviously.  Yet there are many for which I am still seeking a response.

“Trust in the Lord and lean not onto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

I’ve come to realize that I may never know or understand the reasons for the “whys” in my life…and honestly, that’s okay.  When it comes to asking “why” I suppose the “who” is the more important question.  For I know that God holds all of the answers in my life…what more could I ask for?

When your heart is full of questions, who, what, and why, may you turn to the Lord God, for goodness, love and mercy you will always find in His reply.

Peace and love,

Felecia

Where Do I Go From Here?

where do I go from here

Where do I go from here?  Wondering what is the next step one should take can apply to almost any situation in life.

“Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”  T.S. Eliot

Where do I go from here?  That is a question that I am certain has been asked by many at some point in their lives.  It is a questions that doesn’t necessarily have to do with traveling from one destination to the next.  Wondering what is the next step one should take can apply to almost any situation in life.  Life in itself is full of uncertainties, as well as countless opportunities.  Unlike plugging in an address into a GPS device and receiving a clearly charted out route, knowing what direction to take when it comes to making critical decisions can be quite confusing.  All too often, we find ourselves so far off course, that we feel lost.

So how does one answer the question, where do I go from here?  I know when I face a fork in the road in my own life, many times I tend to pause and linger too long “taking in the scenery.”  I research, study and weigh my options so much that I suffer from information overload.  I fill my brain with so much “stuff” that, what used to be the perfect amount of information to carry along with me as I move forward, has turned into an oversized mass that I cannot possibly proceed with on my own.  At that point, I feel disoriented and need to seek help from someone else.  Even finding someone to help me can be challenging sometimes…but not when I seek the right source first.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

Where do I go from here?  Although I may not know exactly how to navigate my way to making the best decision, I do know who will always lead me in the right direction.  God is fully capable of and willing to help each of us through any challenges that we face.  He’ll not only direct us and see us safely through any situation, he’ll also work the outcome to be the very best for us.  He’ll make the way clear for us and stay right by our side until we get to where we need to be.  There is one thing that has to be done individually first though…we need to ask HIM, where do I go from here?

Where will you go from here?  May you find your answer in Him.

Lead Me and I Will Follow

Lead me and I will follow

Lead me and I will follow…on this journey I walk not alone; for you Lord all my needs will fulfill.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not upon your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

Lead Me and I Will Follow

Lead me and I will follow.

I know not the places we’ll go.

Take my hand, guide my steps;

oh , what wonder to me you will show.

Lead me and I will follow.

I long to know of your will.

On this journey I walk not alone;

for you Lord all my needs will fulfill.

Lead me and I will follow.

Some days the horizon seems so clear.

Other times the road seems never to end;

but during those times you always remain near.

Lead me and I will follow.

Keep me close; from me never depart.

God you hold my future in your hands,

and that promise of hope fills my heart.

Felecia R. Weber 2014, OntheWingofaDove.com

Wherever God leads will always be pleasing and good.  May you follow Him and find that out for yourself.

Peace and love,

Felecia
