Peace of mind…when your world seems out of control, what is it that keeps you grounded?

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

“Stop the world, I want to get off!”  Ever have one of those moments?  Just when you think you’ve got it all together, it all seems to fall apart?  Anxiety mounds up and you can’t even find the horizon…let alone see beyond it.  Life is not easy and circumstances are not always how we’d like them to be.  I haven’t painted a very pretty picture have I?  But isn’t beauty in the eye of the beholder?

Exactly…

Peace of mind is not dependent upon circumstances.  It is not even something that one can conjure up by thinking positively really.  No, peace of mind is far more than that.  Peace, defined as a state of tranquility or quiet, is pure.  To me having peace of mind implies that there is something solitary, something whole, something holy that causes it.  When my mind is troubled,  it is full of complexities that make it impossible to think definitively.   It is only when I let go and focus on God’s love, mercy, provision, and power, am I awash with the beauty, serenity, and quietude of peace.  Nothing can break the bonds of peace, because when you trust in the source of true peace, nothing but true peace can prevail.

A mind at peace is perfection pure and true…so let go and let God’s peace fully cover you.

I bid you peace today,

Felecia
