The Tempter…seductive, alluring, he’s familiar to all; watch your step, be on guard, he may cause you to fall…

The Tempter

His motives are dark, insidious and mean,

he tempts us, he tricks us,

yet he’s not visibly seen.

He’s crafty, he’s clever,

who’d claim him a friend?

His goal is to rule us,

he’ll keep trying until the end.

Who is he really?

Do you have any clue?

At one time an angel,

the very best ever too.

Most beautiful, most favored,

but pride caused him to fall.

For no one can take the place,

that he wanted most of all.

That place belongs to God,

our Heavenly Father above,

who gives to us all, the true gift of love.

So who is The Tempter? He is the fallen one.

He is the enemy of mankind…

he was defeated by The Son.
